Collection and Use of Personal Information

Bausch & Lomb U.K. Limited, a Bausch Health company (‘Bausch + Lomb’), hereby informs you that it collects and uses personal information about you, such as name, title, contact details, specialty, curriculum vitae, information about your current and past interactions with Bausch + Lomb and about your participation in events, conferences and scientific studies, professional photograph, financial and banking data that you provide to us to pay you for services and provide reimbursement for professional fees, travel, accommodation and out of pocket expenses,  professional ID number, passport number, tax identification number, your preferences or requirements and other personal information that you may provide about yourself and your professional activities.   We may collect personal information from data companies providing information services in the healthcare sector, publicly accessible sources of professional information, and joint marketing partners.

When you are asked to provide Personal Data, you may decline.  But if you choose not to provide data that is necessary for us to provide requested services or perform our contractual obligations we may not be able to provide you those services or perform those contractual obligations.

Bausch + Lomb processes your personal information in light of its legitimate interests, namely to maintain a relationship with you, to assess your interests and expertise, to consider future collaboration with you and to reach out to you in relation to such opportunities, such as: inviting you to attend congresses/panels, HCP professional meetings and educational activities or events including reaching out to you for your professional expertise or in the context of surveys relating to our products or services; providing you with marketing and promotional communications on scientific/health matters or our products (by digital means or otherwise), which may be personalised to your professional area and interests.  In some cases, we may be required by law to collect your information, for example, in safety reports.  Finally, there may be occasions where we will ask for your consent, for example, where you have provided us consent to receive certain communications, such as marketing and promotional communications.

In accordance with applicable law, you have certain rights in respect of your personal information, such as a right of access, rectification, restriction, erasure, opposition, and portability. To exercise those rights, please contact Bausch + Lomb at: DPO@bausch.com.  If you are not satisfied with Bausch + Lomb’s response or have concerns about Bausch + Lomb’s data processing practices, you can contact Bausch Health’s Data Protection Officer at: DPO@bausch.com.  You also have a right to lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Authority for data protection in your country.

Your personal information will be shared with other Bausch Health entities including in the U.S. where different levels of privacy protection apply.  Bausch + Lomb put in place contractual protection to guarantee an appropriate level of protection as required by applicable law.  For more information, please contact Bausch Health’s Data Protection Officer.  Certain personal information may also be shared with service providers of Bausch + Lomb, with competent authorities, as required or permitted by law.

Personal information about you will be retained for five years after your last interaction with Bausch Health, unless applicable laws impose longer retention times.
